Cody

We got Cody back in July its only a few months later and he is HUGE!!!! He is so tall he can grab food off the table without his feet leaving the floor. He is so tall he can get into our big corner tub without any help or an invitation to be there. Cody is just the most lovable dog and just wants to make us happy. Cody loves to chew and likes to chew Brett's toys. Not the old ones he doesnt like but the ones he cherishes the most.





Cody and Justin are off Elk Hunting right now so Brett and I are on our own. Brett is a little sad he didnt get to go to the cabin this time but he is way to excited for Halloween to be to upset about it. So far it has just been really quiet. Brett is on a pretty tight schedule right now, he has not been so nice again at school so we are being pretty strict with following the rules and schedule. So at 8:00 last night with no justin, no cody, and brett in bed it was just eerily quiet!!!! I must admit I did enjoy my night but it just seemed like something was missing. I was able to take a long bath with no dog jumping in on me or knocks at the door, I was able to watch an entire Lifetime Movie as well. So I very much enjoyed it but had this weird, just not right, feeling the entire time. I love my peace and quiet but I so much would rather have Justin, Brett and Cody around.

Pumpkin Time

Brett saw a carved pumpkin on his friends porch so that meant it was time to carve. At first Brett was excited to touch the slimy stuff.



It only took a few minutes before he decided it was icky and wanted his hands washed. HE was also painting a pumpkin at the time. He doesnt mind the paint just the pumpkin guts.



So once again Mommy carved the pumpkin alone again..... But brett loves the first lighting of the candle

Legacy Highway

I just had to post and say how happy I am about the Legacy Highway. I usually only drive to Salt Lake 1 or 2 days a week but since the Legacy opened up it has not been bad at all! I still take I15 but the Legacy has made my drive so much better.

update: brett is at it again with his teachers. He has been hitting them at his new school now. I just dont get it. He can be so sweet and then so mean and then so sweet again. We are doing everything we can think of. I need super nanny to come to my house!

Last night I took brett to a person at my works house. He goes all out for halloween. I saw pictures before hand of his yard and its right by Brett's day care so I thought it would be funny. holy cow it was more extreme than I thought. It was like a mini hanuted corn field in his yard. Brett got a little scared. He had to be held most of the time. after he was out he said it was too spooky but now he wants to go back..... I dont think he is ready for a real haunted house. We went to this when the sun was still up and it was still a bit creepy for him.

Deer Hunt 2008

This was a great week for a number of reasons.....

1. The Utah Utes Won!!!!
2. BYU LOST!!! (sorry Chelsea)
3. The weather was awesome for the deer hunt (most hunters will tell you different, they like snow on the hunt but for me it was wonderful.... 70 degrees).... Saturday morning this was my view.




4. There is just something wonderful about being in the mountains and watching the sun rise, and then later that day watching it set.

5. The real point of the deer hunt is hunting not just the scenery... (I think everyone who reads this is from Utah so a dead deer photo shouldnt offend anyone, and if it does sorry). Justin decided to hunt this year with a hand gun. A 460 S&W XVR. This is a legal hand gun to hunt with. Although if you look in the picture its almost as big as a rifle. I have to be honest that no one really believed he could do it. But as always Justin proved us all wrong and he was successful on the evening of opening day.

Happy Birthday Nana!

Deer hunting weekend always coincides with Deb's birthday. You cant beat having your birthday on the deer hunt when most of the family usually gets together. Brett got to pick out her birthday cake, he chose one with a 4-wheeler on it. Right after she blew out the trick birthday candles he already had dibs on it....... Deb is the best and we are so happy to have her in our lives. Cant wait until next year!





Brett got to spend a lot of time with Uncle Matt this weekend.

Chuck E Cheeses Again

Well Brett did it again another successfull sticker chart. He is getting stickers faster and faster these days. We have talked about not doing one for a while but since it is working well and he is doing so good in his new school we are going to keep it up. The next one he picked is for mini-golf we are going to start that one today.

anyway Chuck E Cheese's was once again crazy. we went on a week night at 6 pm. The line was not out the door but it was still crazy. This time however he actually got to cash in his tickets (last time we left because the line was so long). He thought that was so cool. The ticket munching machines got the biggest rise of out him. Brett does a good job getting tickets by playing games and he had 170 of them. When he got to the prize counter he got a box of clay with chuck e's picture on it, a frog, a skeleton dinosaur and a sucker. It was pretty neat he ate the sucker right away and loved playing with his winnings. The only weird thing is that I kept asking him what his favorite part was and his answer was simply "going home"..... Not sure what that means I think he had a blast but I am not sure with that answer.

I am looking so much more forward to mini golf than to chuck e cheeses. I have had enough of that place for a lifetime. There is a mini golf course in a bowling alley up here that never has customers so I think that will be our mini golf destination!

Crazy Drivers

Since it was cold and snowy outside Brett and his buddy spent a lot of time inside today. Yesterday brett got a new Wii game and after watching them play I dont think either of them should ever get a drivers license. I took a picture of the screen and caught the only moment Brett (green car) was actually on the road.

Snow, Snow, Snow

This morning we woke up and low and behold there was snow outside. I know the weather channel said it would snow but I sort of figured it would just be a few flakes here and there.

Well we were the first ones up in the neighborhood out playing in the snow around 7:30 am. Brett loved it. Its a good thing we went to walmart last week and got new boots, gloves, hat and a coat. Yes, he is in his pajamas...



Cody loved the snow too. He had fun running around in it.


I guess we will have to wait until next year for the grass. I am pretty sure now is going to turn into a big mud pit.


After we came inside it started snowing even harder. Its like a blizzard out there right now. I am kinda excited because we got a 4 wheeler this year with a snow plow attachment. It is getting close to the point that we might actually get to use it.

Sweetheart

Brett can be the most caring and sweet kid in the world. With it being cold outside today he made sure before nap time everyone was covered up and warm before he fell asleep.



Well its football day again. The Utes are playing Wyoming right now. So far 27-0. Utah is 6-0 and could go up to 7-0 today. BYU plays tonight. I really dislike BYU fans normally but this year they are out of control being the 8th ranked team in the country. Its all people talk about at work and on the TV. Utah needs more TV stations that talk about all the teams and not just BYU. Even when the Utes were on top the coverage is still always BYU. So I think it would be awesome for Utah and BYU to play their last game of the season again each other both undefeated but I dont know if I can handle their fans that much longer. I guess over the next few weeks we shall see what happens.

Well its freezing cold today. I was hoping for a cold rainy/snow day but we really havent had much perception yet. A little white on the ground would be neat.

Look mom you can see the floor in my closet!

Just thought I would try and make your day. Justin decided to clean the closet this weekend and I just wanted you to know there really is a floor under there. (I can already hear you saying... just keep it that way)


Brett got to go to Chucky Cheeses this weekend with a friend. They just opened a new one up by us and he had a blast. It was so busy that to get in the door people were in line outside in the pouring rain. Inside was even worse there were people everywhere. Like usual many of the games were broken, kids were every where with parents not even watching them, and I left with a headache...... Brett however had a blast!!!! The next day we talked about his next sticker chart since he got his 4 wheeler He was absolutely without a doubt sold on going back to chucky cheese... yuck!

Cool Aunt Jen

Brett's aunt Jen is awesome. She gave him his very own computer! Brett LOVES it! He is really good at it too. She also got him some Heman toys that use to be Justins but have been Alecks for 5 years. It was like Christmas in our house. All thanks to Aunt Jen.

The chill in the air......

Its that time of year again. It was so nice this weekend with it being so cold and rainy outside to turn the fireplace on. I have to admit this is my favorite time of year. I love sweatshirt weather. I just want to curl up in front of the fire with a good book and have soup for dinner. Fall also brings on football season, hunting season, and the wonderful fall leaves.



I got some cool new dishes for my birthday (thanks Deb, Steve, and Matt).

He did it!

Brett has been struggling at school so we decided to do another sticker chart. This one was for what he wanted most in the world. It was kinda extreme but we were feeling desperate and after a very long road of getting there he finally did it!!!! now we need to figure out another sticker chart (cheaper this time for sure) And yes that is a little grass behind Brett.



Brett had a blast. He just got on and was totally at home. He loves being in high gear. Only a few little mishaps with the peddle.



I guess Brett really wants to be like his daddy. I was watching him and didnt even realize he would try to go off road. Before I could get there he was stuck in the hills on the vacant lot. I guess he watches daddy a little to closely.
