End of the Blog

I have noticed lately that alls I do on this blog is repost what I already posted right when it happed on facebook.   So I have decided to stop blogging.  Its been nice having a documented history since 2006 that I can print out and keep forever.  But times change. Summer is now over and we are in the midst of fall. School, football, changing colors, school, etc.

Ride int he mountains on Sunday September 16.  The leaves are already changing and fall is in the air.

Caleb got some new Elmo stickers in his room.  So the theme is now Puppies and Seasame Stree! It goes good together... Right?

Brett and his friend Dossan ran into each other at Soccer Practice.  Brett ended up with a softball sized lump and bruise and Dossan has a black eye.   I cant believe it happened in soccer not football.

Had some fun in the jeep this past Sunday.  The boys love to go up steep hills.  Mom hangs on tight.

Chris and I have been friends since the summer before 10th grade- Debate Camp!  Had fun with Chris this past week at the BYU vs. Utah football game.  Go Utes!

Caleb's new school

Caleb started day care today (aka School).  He has been practicing wearing his backpack at home to get ready.  He was very excited to go this morning.  He was a little nervous walking in but that changed very quickly as he ran off.  He was sweet enough to come back and give me a quick hug on the leg.  My little guy is growing up.

Its football season again!  First game of the season was a shut out!  Hoping it will be a great year. 

Another Saturday

We survived another day of soccer and football. All of us are super tired from just spectating. I dont know how Brett is keeping up. he had another great soccer game. I stopped counting after 7 or so goals. Football was not quite as good. he seemed pretty sleepy during most of the game. once we got home we watched a few videos. His comment about one was "I knew I should have dove at him, but I didnt want his shoe in my face". I think Brett is very anxious about football. He knows how much his mommy and daddy love watching the Utes play and I think that might be putting some pressure on it. He is also one of the smallest kids by far. He tells us he enjoys practice and wants to keep playing. I think with time he will get more confident. Thanks Uncle Matt for coming to watch. Caleb had fun playing water games with you.

Bretts first football game was not great (I think he is really not liking the sport right now). But there was a few highlights...... Just not during playing time

Soccer Season

Soccer season has started for Fall 2012.  Brett had a great first game.  Brett scored 6 goals, and almost all of his teammate got goals.  Brett and his team were great at passing this year and Brett did some great centering.

Summer is flying by

Summer has been going fast this year.  We have already had 3 week long vacations- Mommy only got 2 :(.
Now its August 1st and its time to get ready to go back to school.  Brett starts 2nd Grade on August 22nd.  Caleb even gets to join in the fun this year, he is starting day care (aka. School) at my work on September 4th. 

Brett started football practice this week.  Its his first year in football and he is still a little undecided if he likes it.  He misses soccer already.  He asked me yesterday, how I was going to pay for his college if I didnt let him keep playing soccer.  He has decided he is going to get a soccer scholarship and then play professionally.  So the agreement is that he try 1 year of football and then next year he can decide if he would rather play soccer or football.

Starting his first football season

Had a fun day at Cherry Hill today with Jace, Aleck, Yia Yia and Papou.  It was a fun time to be had before my sisters family moves to Denver in the next month.  Aleck, Jace and Brett had a blast going down the river,  Caleb enjoyed lots of snacks, the lazy river and jumping in the pool.  I took Caleb down the dragon slide and asked if he wanted to go again.... he answered with a great big NO!  So glad we got to hang out with these guys today!  Thanks Yia Yia and Papou for brining them up, and also for helping me keep track of them.

The Jackson family had another successful vacation this month.   We had a two great trips, and Justin also went to San Antonio for work in between.  The sad part is that vacation is over for a while, the good part is that we had a blast and we all need a rest.

This time we went to Hope Idaho and stayed right on Lake Pend Orielle (pronounced Pondoray).  We stayed for 6 days and then drove to Glacier National Park. It was out of the way to get home, but totally worth the extra time in the car.

During the trip we went fishing, brett learned to golf, gold panning, exploring, and saw some amazing views.
