The Zoo

Brett and I had about 2 hours to waste at the Zoo last Friday. We had a very nice time other than it was so HOT! Brett got to ride in a wagon..... This is the only picture I got in the wagon because he actually only rode in it for about 2 minutes. The rest of the time he insisted on pulling it or being carried.



This is alligator in the new exhibit at the zoo. Brett really liked the white alligator.


My favorite part of the day was the bird show. I was very impressed and Brett had a ball. The birds were swooping over our head. I was so close to a falcon I felt I could touch it. Brett loved it but thought it was too loud. He kept my hands over his ears the entire time. We even had front row seats.

Last but not least, Bretts favorite part of the zoo was feeding the ducks again. We spent a lot of money on feeding them but he loved it.



After the zoo we went to Price for the weekend. It was International Days, we went to the parade and the park. Brett loved playing in the hot tub every night. Brett also loved Papou and Yia Yias attention.

Monday was back to work! Again my sentiments from last week. Mondays are horrible. I am starting to realize how soon it is that I have to travel for 5 full days to Mississippi and I am sad to leave Brett. Justin and he will have a ball without me around saying "be careful boys" but I really am going to miss them.

What Makes Monday's Better!

Bouncy, Bouncy, Bouncy..........

With it being so hot outside it is hard to find things that Brett likes to do inside. Shopping at an air-conditioned toy store seems to be one of his favorite ways to pass time. We never leave empty handed either.....cars, bouncy balls, etc.

The Mind of a Two Year Old

Brett is just a fun kid right now. But sometimes I cant figure out where he comes up with things. Lately he has been talking about the sleepy monster. He is not afraid of the monster but he says it lives in the ground outside. He has also been so fun playing lately. He loves "playing" with mom and dad. He says "Pahlay" with me peese. He has been having fun with his woodworking shop.



Brett has also been obsessed with his "other blanket" and pillow. He has them with him all the time and then says "cover me peese". Its very sweet.



So this is a fun picture of Brett in his "undies". He put on his undies, then his snow boots and a helmet from a doll. He had so much fun playing this way for the longest time.


I just love how fun it is to watch him put things together. Its like you can see the wheels turning and how he is finally starting to understand how it all works toghether.

TIRED!

I just looked at the clock and realized that I still have 1.15 hours left to work and I feel like I have been here for hours. My body is very much rejecting my new work schedule. I have started a 4 day a week 10 hour a day schedule. Sounds perfect doesn’t it? I am still not convinced. I do well in the morning but then about 10 am hits and I think its lunch time, around 2:30 I feel like I need to go home. Friday is going to be a killer. To top that all off I had the craziest dream the other night that I had a spider walking on my hand. (I am still not sure if was real or a dream). I thought maybe Justin was playing a joke on me so I reached over to slap his hand and I swear I felt a spider squish. Anyway I freaked out in the middles of the night and ripped the covers off the bed, had to shake them out, change my clothes and couldn’t go back to sleep. I have no idea if it was real or a dream. Then this morning I woke up and I had 2 shirts on…. I know for a fact I didn’t go to sleep with 2 shirts on, especially considering the 2nd one I was wearing. WEIRD! So I am tired on top of being tired…

Brett's New Buddy

Brett had a fun week with his new friend Dax. Daxton is 2 years older than him and Brett just followed him around and did everything he did. They had a blast on the 4th of july. They played at the park, they played in a hut and watched fire works together.


On Sunday Brett got to go to Dax's 4th birthday party. Dax got an awesome water slide. Brett got a little scared on the slide but loved playing with Daxton's new cars. He was absolutely exhausted after it was all over.

I got Brett one of those little blue pools for the yard. he loves filling it up with water with the hose and throwing things in it but he didnt enjoy actually getting in it.

Outdoors

Brett is a pretty happy kid for the most part but it has become very apparent that he is much happier outside. He would give up air conditioning in a heartbeat if that meant he could be outside always and forever. Below is a picture of Brett playing outside and then the following picture is Brett at the Drive in. We went and saw Ratatui (sp). He had fun waiting for it to start for about 1.5 hours. He meet some new friends, got asked to go and watch the movie with them and just had a ball playing ball. Anyway needless to say that when the movie finally started 2 hours after his bed time. He only got to watch 15 minutes of it before he konked out. We made it through the 1st movie and then about 1 hour into Pirates 3 and just couldnt make it anymore. So I have no idea how its ends but it was already 1 am.

Dead Grass

Well the sod has went from being completely yellow to now including some green. It might have a chance to live. I have to admit for the first few days I didnt think it had a chance at all to live. Right now I am still doubtful but am starting to think it just might make it.
