Just a quick update

Well since my post last week Brett has used the bathroom in the tub 2 more times. I think he likes my reaction to it and gets a good giggle. Needless to say my tub has been scrubbed more times in the last week than I think it has in the last few months.

Brett was sick again on Thursday night, he had a really high fever. No other symptoms. Justin and Brett stayed home on Friday and once again Brett was feeling fine. I didnt know that a 1 year old could already be playing hooky from school. Anyway they had a really fun day together and Brett has been fun today. Not sure what keeps causing these high, quick fevers. Its weird.

I bought some easter eggs and candy this week and am very excited for Easter this year. I think Brett will get the whole egg hunt. It is so fun watching him get bigger and understand things. I think it will be a fun time this year.

Not a whole lot to update everyone on today. I will try and get some new pictures soon.

Sick Day

Brett got sent home yesterday sick from day care which meant he is out today too. I am not sure what caused his fever but we are having a wonderful day today. He has been just fun to be with. He carries his stuffed animals all around the house. He has been serving me cups of water and just being a doll. He doesnt seem to be sick at all just a crazy fever yesterday.



Brett was doing really good painting today. We were painting flowers and then I left the room to check my email. I thought since he was doing so good it would be okay. I was only gone like 1 minute when I came back he had painted up to one elbow and was eating paint! We had to have a midday swim in the tub which he enjoyed.....

Justin and I got to go to a movie yesterday. WE were planning too since I was getting off early but then Brett got sick. Justin's mom was driving through town so we got to go anyway. Thank you!!! It was nice to go on a date. We saw Pans Labyrinth. Very interested. Justin was a little disappointed and I thought it was better than I expected.

Valentines Day

Valentines Day was so wonderful this year. I was spoiled rotten.... I got flowers, a balloon, a teddy bear, and chocolate covered strawberries! mmmmm! Anyway Justin thank you so much it was wonderful. I also got hand prints from Brett. That is a treat in itself since I cant seem to ever get hand prints. I feel guilty though. Justin got a card and M&M's and Brett got candy..... Thank you so much and I love you both.

The Tub

I thought I had made it through Brett's babyhood with never having him go "number 2" in the tub.... Well I was wrong..... Then after dealing with that, I found out that when I put him out of the tub so I could clean up his first mess he ran in his room and went number 1 all over the carpet.... Yuck! Needless to say it was a rough night last night.

Nothing really new going on here. We had 2 birthday parties this week and are exhausted. Brett has had cake every day this week since Wed. He is loving it. Matt is officially 16 and Little Aleck is 5. Aleck Sr. is going to Vegas for his birthday. Smart.

Brett is doing wonderful. He is talking so much it amazes me. He can count with us to 10, he knows some opposites now - hot/cold, on/off, up/down, sky/ground. The funnest is that he knows words to songs and dance moves. We have so much fun dancing and signing.

As promised, I have attached some pictures of Brett and his little car and monkey he loves so much. He is such a doll.

February- Birthday Month

First let me say Happy Birthday to Matt, Aleck and Aleck.... There are some big birthdays this year. Matt is turning 16, Aleck is turning 60, and the other Aleck is turning 5! Happy Birthday to you all!

I posted some Brett temper tantrum pictures. He still stops once the camera comes out so its a nice little way to stop the situation. He is actually doing better this week and they subsided a bit except for getting in the car seat.




Today Daddy took Brett and mom to Toys R Us to get out of the house. We ended up coming home with a new Jeep and a Monkey... Its one of those little push cars with a steering wheel and a door. He Loves it!!!! Very spoiled! He also loves his monkey. He says the monkey's home is the jeep. Its so fun to see how his mind works. He got a blanket, put the monkey in with the blanked and said he was sleeping at home. The said "WAKE UP"..... What a doll. Once I get pictures of the jeep I will post them. Its way cute.
