Where did the weekend go?

Its been way to busy and I have no pictures to show for it. Saturday was Lagoon day. Brett had a ball. he got to go on lots of rides, play darts, and his favorite thing was playing in the fountain. We didnt go until 4:30 and the lines in Kiddie Land were not bad at all. He road about a dozen rides by the time we left at 7:15. All in all he earned every minute of it. The lines were not horrible it was just HOT! Brett spent 30 minutes of his time there playing in the fountain having a ball.

Sunday we went 4 wheeling with a big group of people. Brett had a blast again. By the time we got home we were so dusty I kept thinking of that little kid on Charlie Brown named "pig Pen". We all had a cloud of dust around us.

Cody and Brett are doing good. Brett is getting a little less nervous about him. Cody has been doing good too. Sleeping through the night. Our only deal is potty training. He hasnt had many accidents because of our watchful eyes but he doesnt know how to tell us he needs to go out yet.

Brett Did It!

Well its official Brett earned his 10 stickers for being good and now he gets to go to Lagoon. For a while there I wasnt sure he was going to make it but he did!!! He has been a good boy at school and home.

New Puppy Photos

New pictures of Cody! So far its been sort of a mixed response from brett. One minute he is overly hyper about the new puppy and the next minute he is screaming that the puppy is going to bite him. Cody missed his parents his first night here and spent a lot of time whining while we should have all been sleeping. we are all sort of having short tempers right now.

another update in the Jackson household is that Justin is almost done with his dissertation thesis. Its all been approved he just has to print it out for the final review and of course we are out of colored ink!

New Addition to the Jackson Family

I can hardly wait until Monday! On Monday I am picking up our new little golden retriever puppy! He is in cedar city and we havent meet him yet but we just know he is perfect for our family. Brett is terrified of dogs and we are hoping that he will have fun growing up with a new puppy. He will be 9 weeks old when we get him. his name is yet to be decided. Justin and I really like the name Cody for him but Brett has been saying Leo, Raf (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) and now its "the Lion King". Our Big Red is the big one on top.

Lagoon

Brett has been having a rough time lately at school and home. He has been hitting his teacher and us a lot. We are working on a way for him to earn stickers and go to Lagoon. I have to go to Lagoon anyway for my company party so this is a good way for him to earn something. Lagoon is free for us to go to on the 26h and Brett is so excited. he has earned stickers now 2 out of 3 days. Its a good start. I am hoping it keeps motivating him. He loves putting his stickers on.

4 Wheeling Maniac

Brett LOVES four wheeling! I think he had one of the best weekends of his life going out on the wheelers. The grin on his face was non stop the entire time he was out.

Cousins

Congratulations Aleck! Aleck just graduated from Kindergarten. He is such a cute kid with an imagination you cant believe. Congrats!


When Justin was in Pittsburgh and I went to Denver Brett got to have a good time with my parents and his cousins. Its so fun to have cousins his age. Brett and Jace are only 2 months apart and it seems like that group of boys has a blast together. (my mom looks like she is having fun too doesnt she? =)



The only bad thing that came out of this is a new phrase Brett learned.... You cant get me nana nana boo boo..... Aleck told me he only taught him "you cant get me nana nana" brett added the boo boo on himself.

We just got back from fish lake it was so nice. the weather was great! The cabin is for sale so we are trying to enjoy it as much as we can until it sales. Someone came while we were there too look and I think all of us were broken hearted but so far no sale.

How can someone so cute have such a mean streak?

Brett is just the sweetest kid in the world. Sometimes he gets mad when he doesnt get his way but for the most part he makes you smile more than makes you mad. He has struggled at school with being mean but for the last 2 months that seems to have gone away as he moved into a new room.... that is until today! He got sent home after being told he couldnt play in the sandbox. He his hit teacher 3x and then got sent to the office. While he the office he cried for over 45 minutes. Screaming so loud you could hear him all through the school. He had a great night of sleep last night, ate breakfast and should have had a fun day. I had to take a 1/2 day off work and am trying to make sure he doesnt have too much fun today being home so its not a reward for his crying streak. He is such a doll but sometimes I can see it in his eyes as he is thinking of how he can play a situation to his advantage and I think he is winning....... I never realized how manipulative a 3 year old can be. He knows he is cute and he plays on it. He also says "I love you mommy" just as he knows I am hitting my limit! Any advise is always appreciated. I dont know which one of us is going to end up at the shrink first.
