Brett is Two!!!

Brett Saying the Alphabet! Must Watch

I am just so proud he knows the alphabet already. Okay so its just the song and he doesnt know what it means but I think its great!!!! He was just belting it away in the tub and actually allowed me to get it on video! I noticed that after downloading it the sound and video dont match up that well but I swear its real.

Traveling with an (almost) 2 year old!

One word…….. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Our trip was not all that bad, but still. I have been home for 2 days and I am still tense and have a headache due to all the crying and screaming that I heard.

We started out the trip on Saturday with Brett running a fever. It was a pretty high fever. The night before he threw up 2x but had not thrown up that day. On the plane the fever got higher and I had all the Tylenol packed on the checked baggage (I didn’t want to deal with the zip lock bag). Anyway we landed and got his Tylenol as soon as we could. Got to the hotel and had a nap. Went to the Mariners Game and he did well there. We really had a great time. He loved watching the ball get hit. Oh and we had World Famous Garlic Fries at the game. To anyone who goes to a Mariners game you need to try them YUMMMMMM! (I can still taste them). Then we went to Iver’s (famous for clam chowder and fish and chips). It was also really good, Justin ate 1 pound of crab legs that was so fresh…. I had to help.

The crib the hotel had was a death trap so he had to sleep with us. It did not go so well. None of us slept. The next day we had a 2 hour drive to Ellensburg Washington. He slept the whole way and then some. We drove around to look at the town and then went to the hotel. He wasn’t sick anymore but still just tired. Since he slept in the car he didn’t take an afternoon nap. We swam and then went driving around again and by this time he was sick of being in the car. We fought the whole way. We finally got back to the hotel and had to order pizza since we didn’t dare take him out.

The next day I was with Brett while Justin was doing his presentation. It was a long day. We went to the park but only for a while because it was COLD! We played in the hotel room, went swimming, had a nap, played some more. Justin was really late and we were getting hungry so we finally decided to leave the hotel. We went to the elevator and Justin was on it so we all went to a local drive in to eat. It was decent but not the worlds best burgers as promised.

Tuesday we drove 2 hours back to the airport, got on the plane and he did good from Seattle to Spokane but after that he scram for the rest of the plane ride. It was horrible. We got home and Brett feel asleep for 2 hours, then had dinner and slept for another 12. He was so happy to be home. On Wednesday he work up just acting like his old self again. So Yia Yia, Papou, Nana, Papa…. Next time he stays with one of you!!!!!! Somehow I don’t think anyone would complain!

I would love to say I got some pictures but I did not…. I took a disposable camera and while we were there I only took like 3 pictures. It just wasn’t that picturesque of a weekend.

The Zoo

We went to the zoo for easter this year. It was very nice, not very crowded but a little on the chilly side. Brett had such a good time. Actually we all did. I think it was more of a father son outing as they just hung out together and I took pictures. It was so fun to see them having so much fun.

Easter

Brett's 2nd easter was the first holiday I felt he really got into. He had so much fun coloring eggs and finding them. I am so excited for Christmas this year.....



Brett got to pick whatever he wanted for breakfast and he picked his favorite. Pancakes in Dippie Sauce!

Quick Update

Things here are going normal as usual. Not a lot to report. We are getting excited for our trip to Seattle. We leave 1 week from Saturday. I am looking forward to it but very nervous about traveling with Brett. It will be a first for him on a plane. Also the day we arrive we have plans no stop until around 5 pm so it will be interesting to see how Brett does without a nap, or if he can take a nap at a Mariners Baseball Game. I am guessing he will miss his nap on Saturday. I found out all out hotels have pools so while Justin is in his meetings Brett and I will do some swimming to waste time. Any toddler travel suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Boot camp is going well. I have lost 6 pounds so far. I did not go this morning to the stadium to run. I have been to 14/30 classes and today would have been 15 the halfway mark but for the life of me I could not get myself up to do it. Actually I decided last night not to go. I needed a break. I am tired. I don’t really have a good excuse and I feel really guilty. I have 15 classes left to go (well 14 due to the trip to Seattle) and I am going to make it to every one.



Brett is getting 2 year pictures tomorrow. I just can not believe he will be 2 in two weeks from tomorrow. It seems like time flies. Brett has had pink eye and an ear infection with a stuffy nose. His eyes are no longer red but I hope you can’t see the red on his nose in the pictures. He is doing better now and on antibiotics he thinks are candy. The picture above is a picture of him from August of 2005. He was around 4 months old. He has changed so much its crazy.

Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday we went to an easter egg hunt at my work. Brett got to meet the easter bunny and was terrified of him. The guy in the suit is my boss (and no I dont know why he was wearing a pig nose). After we got home Brett kept talking about the bunny and that he got a hug from the bunny but while we were there he wanted to keep his distance. It was very cute.






Brett did a very good job finding eggs. I didnt have to help him at all. He just took right off and knew what to do. It was fun watching him. We are having a hunt at home next week on Easter. We have so much candy at this point I am not sure what we are going to do with it all!

Play Hut
