Brett and Caleb are such good brothers. Brett usually tried to pretend he doesnt like Caleb much but then every once in a while you catch him loving his brother.




I came home Friday to a clean closet! Our closet is always a disaster. Justin did such a good job and then I got a lecture from brett about keeping it clean.


Sunday Brett said it was unfair for us to have a clean room and not him. We ended up taking all his "little kid toys" plus a few more I sneaked out in the basement. We categorized his superheros, dinosaurs, ninjas etc and put everything in its place. Lets see which one is a disaster first. Brett's room or our closet.

What a weekend!

Justin and his dad headed off Thursday to go antelope hunting in Wyoming. Deb was so nice to come and help with the kids while the boys were gone. Thank you Deb!!! Friday night was pretty relaxing but Saturday started our busy weekend.

We went to Boondocks with Chris and Dani! We had such a good time. Brett and Dani got to race cars (brett and I got lapped by everyone but the gate opened at the right time so he felt like we beat a few people), play on the bumper boats, mini golf, play arcade games, and eat junk food. What a morning. After that uncle matt came to visit and then uncle luke and his girl friend Elisa. Then an extra special surprise of Brett's best buddy in the whole world Samuel coming to visit until 1030 at night. By sunday we were exhausted..... but then brett and caleb got to go swimming with matt and whitney. Needless to say we are EXHAUSTED!!!! and work starts way early tomorrow! I will get some boondocks pictures posted shortly.

PS justin got an antelope in Wyoming.

Times are a changing (again)!!!

I remember just like it was yesterday that I was so excited for work to be done with for maternity leave, Brett to be starting his summer at home, and most of all anxiously awaiting the birth of Caleb.

Now here we are on August 16, 2010 and now I am working an entirely different job (starting week 4), Caleb is 5 months old, Summer for the boys is officially over, Brett and Caleb started day care, and Brett starts kindergarten in 2 weeks! Wow does time fly.

Things are going well with the new job. I really like it so far. The commute hasnt been too bad yet.

Today I asked brett if he liked his new school and he said "no I love it". I know its only the first day but I just have good feelings this is going to be a great place for him. Also got his kindergarten worked out. we got the teacher everyone loves. He gets to ride the bus from day care and will be in the same class with our two little neighbor girls Taya and JC.

Caleb also has the distinction of being the only baby at day care. They are just loving having a baby there. He gets a ton of attention for being the youngest.

Justin starts on Monday teaching in the engineering program at Weber State. He is very excited!

All in all I say that good things are happening and its going to be a great year (knock on wood)

On top of the world (again)

Justin has been dying to take the new jeep for a spin in the mountains. Because of my whining we did not go on too bad of a trail. Even though he would have preferred a more bumpy ride we saw some beautiful country side. Caleb slept the whole way to the top and Brett only asked "are we done yet" about a half dozen times so I consider it successful. (Just a note to myself to remember Brett needs Dramamine.) Brett keep looking off the edge saying it looks like the earth down there (meaning it looked like a map)

Life

havent posted for a while because life has just gotten in the way. This is just a quick update.

1. Love my new job. I work with some pretty amazing people who are so very smart! I hope I can keep up with them in the battle of the whits.

2. I knew hanging up my U of U stickers at my new job was risky being that I work in Utah County.... the wars have already began. My bosses, boss put up a slide introducing me to the entire HR team with my picture today saying "secretly wishes she was of BYU fan". I have since taken his picture and hung it up in the middle of my U on my wall.... Its getting close to football season and I am excited but was hoping to avoid the wars at my new job. But it seems the banter will live on.

3. Brett and Caleb have had their first teenage babysitter. We hired a neighbor to help out around 10 hours a week so justin can get ready for school. Its the first time we have hired a teenage babysitter. So far so good.

4. Caleb is as chunky as ever. Brett is as skinny as ever.

5. Both boys start day care in 2 weeks. (I am sad about this and I think Justin is sad too. Even though its been tough they have had some fun times this summer). I cant believe summer is almost gone. We have home day care center set up. I think it will help brett to be around different aged kids and also be in a smaller setting. She also has a son with ADHD which hopefully will make her understand him. Caleb will be the only baby and it sounds like he will be spoiled rotten from all the little day care girls. They are excited to have an infant.

6. Brett starts Kindergarten on September 1st.
