Photo with Santa/Bathroom Drama

I love 4 day weekends but by Sunday I really needed to get out of the house. I decided to take Brett to meet Santa at the mall. He told Santa he wanted a toy puppy that talked. We had originally bought Brett a trampoline for Christmas but have been second guessing that gift and are thinking of saving it until his birthday in April so we dont have to set it up in the middle of the night, and so that it wont have to be up during the snow season. So we are thinking of getting him something different and do the trampoline for his birthday. So where in the world do I find a puppy that talks? After our outting to the mall we went to the park by our old house. While we were there he said he needed to go #2 right after we got there. So I just decided to take him to a McDonalds instead Anyway we got there and he didnt need to go anymore. We played for a bit and then he had to go again. The womens restroom was full and he really needed to go. So he said he could go in the men's room alone. no one was in there so I figured what the heck he has been doing very good in the potty department lately........... oooppppsssss BIG MISTAKE...... He ran out saying mom I have poop on my hands and has his pants down to his ankles. Since no one was in there I went in to get him cleaned up and found out that he decided to poop in the urinal!!!!! OMG!!!!!!! Anyway we threw away his undies, cleaned him up as good as we could and I tried to do what I could with the urinal but without any tools I left a mess. I owe the employee who had to clean it up a huge apology and thank you because it was all backed up from Brett trying to flush it so many times! While I was in there 2 men walked in as well and left right when they saw me. I am red in the checks just thinking about it. Anyway Brett's mcdonald experience was cut short due to my embarrassment. We high tailed it out of there in to the tub at home.

Its begining to look a lot like Christmas/Broken Traditions

Friday after thanksgiving is our tradition to decorate for Christmas. This year things looked a little different as I tried to match things a little better. Usually we do a big eclectic Christmas. This year I tried to match the decor a little bit with colors. Almost all the decorations I used were from Dollar Tree. I am too cheap to go somewhere else.



We broke a few of our traditions this year, I am a little sad about that but know it will still be a good Christmas. We did not get a chance to cut down a Christmas Tree this year. We still have a live tree but it was picked out at a Harmons Parking lot. To me this is a tradition that next year we must reinstate.

We also have been buying a new ornament each year since Brett was born. We had 3 so far. Now out of the 3 of them 2 are broken and we didnt get one this year. I dont think that we will renew this one as the whole appeal was to have one from every year. Brett is such a wonderful boy but he has my clutzy gene and unfortunately we break a lot of really nice things. Notice I didnt say he broke them, it was a combination of the two of us.

With all that being said I think this is going to be the best Christmas ever!

Happy Thanksgiving

We had a very wonderful quiet Thanksgiving. I think sometimes when life gets so busy it is nice to have a little relaxation once and a while. I took this picture to show that my stove actually does work. I used all the burners at once, and the oven, and a crockpot. That has to be a record for me. I didnt even have an injury.



Thanksgiving this year was just the 3 of us. i did not get any pictures of us but we all had a great time.



I am grateful for so many things! Brett said he was thankful for "all the people who love him.... then he listed off the names of all those who love him, Jace, Aleck, Aunt Jen, Nana, Grandpa, Yia Yia, Papou, Seth, Daxton, Missy, Seth, Dani, Chris....on and on and on. There are a lot of people who love him and I am so happy he knows it.

the Utes / Christmas Lights

The Utah BYU game was so fun! We had a blast. The crowd was totally into the game and it was a great game. The Utes deserved to win and proved they were BCS material. I am getting excited at the possibility for a trip this year we are looking at Arizona, New Orleans or Miami. I have never been to New Orleans or Miami and our trip to Arizona a few years ago was the best. I cant wait. Brett had fun he went and played with his cousins. He had so much fun! Thanks Aunt Jen for keeping him that night. He feel asleep within minutes of getting into the car. We were starving so went to Iggy's once we got back to Ogden, thought he would wake up but slept all the way through.



Justin is such a wonderful husband who put up Christmas lights for us this year! We havent had the chance to do that for a long time so it was kinda fun. Our roof is so steep we had to rent a machine with the neighbor. Lets just say at the peak of the roof when a breeze came through Justin was a little nervous! He is wonderful to do this for Brett and I.

What Holiday is it anyway?

I put up some Christmas lights in Brett's room and he decided to start singing Halloween Songs......

Cody loves to get into Brett's bed. He is not allowed on any furniture in the house but Brett's bed. He doesnt get to sleep there but makes our bedtime routine an adventure.


Brett earned another sticker prize today. We went and saw Bolt at the movies. He had one bad day last monday but other than that it was 9 good days. The movie was in 3D and he jumped a few times as things came out and got a little frustrated that he couldnt touch Bolt's nose. The movie was pretty cute but having to wear glasses for a full movie got a little tough at the end.


We are going to put Christmas lights up this weekend. While I was going through the ones for the house I found a few strands for Brett's room. He thought they were pretty

Rivalry Week

Well its that time of year again! The Utes vs. BYU, and the stakes this year are as high as ever. The Undefeated Utes are looking to bust the BCS again. Its been a great year to have season tickets. I was thinking back to one year when we went to Rice Eccles at 3 am to stand in line for tickets to the BYU vs. Utah game- while I was warming up in the car and Justin was waiting in line- a student decided to relieve himself right in front of the car, then jokingly to his friends he talked about going #2 so I sat up really quick so he could see me- thinking back I should have turned my lights on, that would have been funny. This year we got season tickets so we didn't have to loose any sleep to get them.

We asked Brett if he would rather go to the game or go and play with his cousins..... he again picked playing with friends over going to a football game. Its a little heart breaking as we thought he loved football as much as us. But the cool thing for me is that I can get into the game now. He went to 3 out of 5 games with us this year. The first 3, I watched the game but didnt really hoot and holler as much as I would have liked. At the TCU vs. Utah game I lost my voice because I wasnt worried about scaring brett. Also when he goes it costs around 60.00 in treats so it will save us a bundle- but it is way fun to have him with us at games and he can also really make a boring game fun. Thank you to my sister for watching him for 8 hours on Saturday!

We are planning another road trip (or possibly a plane trip this year) to watch the Utes again with my folks. The destination will determine if Brett goes or not but I am way excited for this years trip.
