Quiet Weekend

Just a little update on things that have been going on. Friday was Justin's last day of school for the year. Now he has a little over 3 months off. I am so jealous. Justin's brother Luke graduated from Weber State on Friday as well. Brett and I got to join Justin's family for a wonderful BBQ lunch. Justin ended up having to go back to graduation. Congratulations LUKE!!! Oh and not to forget Luke and his girlfriend got engaged the night before.

Justin's other brother Matt graduates high school in 2 weeks and will be started up at Weber state this fall. He is getting married in August. He was talking about working at Weber state writing parking tickets like both of his older brothers did. Its kinda funny but 12 years ago I started at the Weber state PD as a clerk, got Justin and job, then he got luke and job and now Matt might work there.

Since Justin's family was up they decided to take Brett home with them to spend a week. So friday night was so quiet. Justin was up at school late trying to get his grades done last minute. I had the house clean and ended up taking a nice long bath and watching Bride wars. It was so quiet.

Saturday we were planning to do yard work all day. we figured without Brett around we could do a lot of work. Well it rained all day. I have to admit it was kind of a nice break. We ended up going to a movie, and then that night we went out to the Timbermine Justin's favorite place to eat. We both had the best Prime Rib in Utah, with a Lobster Tail, and Baked Potato. I also had Fried Mushrooms and Mud Pie for dessert. It was such a wonderful night out. Thanks to the Jackson family for taking Brett so we could have a nice date.

In other news our shower hasnt leaked for 3 days now. Keep your finger crossed its going to be fixed this time.

We got a trailer a few weeks ago. I went to take the plastic off the mattress and sliced my finger on a metal rod sticking out of the mattress. We had to send pictures to the manufacturer and will hopefully get it fixed. When I went to take additional pictures per their request I was really careful around it and sat on top to get a better view and it shot right out and through my favorite pair of pants. I hate that darn mattress. We have our first trip planned in 2 weeks to crystal hot springs. It will be just a short close to home swimming Trip. I hope its fixed by then.

Shower

Everyone keep your fingers crossed. Ran the water for 20 minutes today and there was no water in the basement! Could it really be true, a year after living in our new house we can use the Master Shower? I dont even dare think that might be true.

Totally Wicked Weekend

This weekend was so busy I did not get a thing done. It started out at 5 am Saturday morning where I had to be at my works annual volunteer day. I was suppose to be leading a project that involved painting the US map on asphalt. Its about 36 feet wide and a very big project. Due to the rain we could not do this project. There are about 4 projects in all that got canceled due to weather and we had too many volunteers in a very small school. I ended up leading a group that was making care packages for kids who cant afford school supplies instead. Everyone there was so great and wanted to make their school a better place. So the good news is we got a ton done for the school the bad news is that I still have to go back and finish that US map. Darn!

After that was done we drove down to Salt Lake and picked up a few odds and ends for the trailer so we could actually use it. Then off to the Supercross at the U of U. I will start out by saying that Brett had the time of his life. He loved the motocross more than anything. He couldnt take his eyes off it. Usually when we go to football games its up and down the stairs to get treats and go for walks. This time Brett really wanted a churro but he didnt want to miss a minute of the action to go and get it. Thats what mommy's are for right. He had this humungo grin on his face the whole time they were racing. I thought he might get bored but nope. He kept asking if we had to leave and wanted to make sure we got to see the whole thing. On our way out we found a back staircase and as we opened the door we almost got ran over by a motorcycle from the event. about 3 more came by us and Brett was waving hi to all of them. We got home about 11 at night so he was up late. Woke up at the same time as usual.

The next morning we woke up and I got a few things loaded in the trailer. After that it was off to Salt Lake again. Brett went to his cousins house to play and Justin and I went to see the matinee of Wicked! It was awesome. I enjoyed it very much. It was the best play I have seen at Capital Theater. Justin liked it but it was not his favorite. I paid a lot for the tickets because I bought them off KSL and it was worth every penny.




After the play was over it was back to Ogden. Brett was asleep within minutes. We went out to eat at Iggy's because we were all hungry. Brett enjoyed his favorite- Spinach Dip and I had the Pot Roast for the first. It was excellent.

Overall it was a very fun eventful weekend- unfortunately I am not rested at all and have to work tomorrow.

Brave Boy/Sympathy Puker

Brett was so brave today at his 4 year appt. We decided to get his Kindergarten shots taken care of even though he could have waited a year. He was very scared. It took a little coaxing and 5 suckers but he survived. He cried a long time. It was so much easier when he didnt realize what was going on. He said he never wanted to see the doctor again.

Brett has on two occasions now threw up when he saw someone gag. Once at school a little girl was sick and threw up and then brett lost his cookies right on the lunch table. Today Brett's friend gagged on a pez and Brett threw up. Once he throws up once he cant stop until his tummy is empty. He ate steak, beans and green beans for dinner as soon as it was over so I know he isnt sick he just has a very sympathetic tummy.

Birthday

Brett's week and a half birthday celebration is now over. He is official 4. His final birthday celebration was yesterday on his real birthday. He got to bring a treat to school (donuts not cake for this boy), wear a crown all day at school, and open his final present from us. We got him a cool hot wheels track. It took me about 1 hour to get the darn thing out of the box and hooked up and I still didnt know what it did. Thank goodness for daddy explaining it to us. In the future he should just take on those tasks himself to save us all time and agony.

New Trailer......

So we got a new trailer today! We are excited to go camping soon! We have decided our first camping trip will be in the front yard to test things out and make sure they all work. We also have to get Brett use to it. Today we were so excited to bring it home and put it in the just cleaned out garage. Its new home! Well I think I really believe there is a Christa's Law out there (similar to murphy's law but worse) and the trailer is 2 inches to big to fit!!!! Doesnt that sound like my normal luck. anyhow our neighbors will have to deal with it this summer and then when it gets cold we will take off the awning and scrape it in there. Now I need a ping pong table to fill up all the empty space in the garage where its suppose to go.




Brett is excited for his new bed but a little nervous. He thinks its cool to climb up there but gets a little scared. If he falls out he will fall right on Jusitn. Our bed is underneath.


I totally missed getting some pictures of the interior! We are so groovy these days I am thinking of putting a big sticker on the outside that says "Flower Power"!!!! With all the bad luck being said I am so excited go camping with Justin and Brett. Brett has never been except in the cabin and I think will have a blast collecting sticks to bring home to his stick pile.
