Rivalry Week

Well its that time of year again! The Utes vs. BYU, and the stakes this year are as high as ever. The Undefeated Utes are looking to bust the BCS again. Its been a great year to have season tickets. I was thinking back to one year when we went to Rice Eccles at 3 am to stand in line for tickets to the BYU vs. Utah game- while I was warming up in the car and Justin was waiting in line- a student decided to relieve himself right in front of the car, then jokingly to his friends he talked about going #2 so I sat up really quick so he could see me- thinking back I should have turned my lights on, that would have been funny. This year we got season tickets so we didn't have to loose any sleep to get them.

We asked Brett if he would rather go to the game or go and play with his cousins..... he again picked playing with friends over going to a football game. Its a little heart breaking as we thought he loved football as much as us. But the cool thing for me is that I can get into the game now. He went to 3 out of 5 games with us this year. The first 3, I watched the game but didnt really hoot and holler as much as I would have liked. At the TCU vs. Utah game I lost my voice because I wasnt worried about scaring brett. Also when he goes it costs around 60.00 in treats so it will save us a bundle- but it is way fun to have him with us at games and he can also really make a boring game fun. Thank you to my sister for watching him for 8 hours on Saturday!

We are planning another road trip (or possibly a plane trip this year) to watch the Utes again with my folks. The destination will determine if Brett goes or not but I am way excited for this years trip.

Super Heros to the Rescue

Brett and Seth had so much fun saving Mommy (or the Momster) from jail.... Now I am not sure why I was in jail and needed saving but it was sweet.

Thursday night was a huge football game for us to attend. It was very cold so we asked Brett if he would rather go to the game or spend time with his girl pal Dani..... Without hesitation he answered "Dani". He was so excited to go and I was so excited to go and actually get to watch a football game. Brett is fun at games but it costs about 60.00 in treats and a dozen trips to get food and potty (brett really likes the mens rooms with trophs- GROSS) that it make it hard to really get into the game. So I am writing this blog to say THANK YOU CHRIS!

Brett had such a blast. While he was there they got to go shopping and pick out apples, then they got to make caramel apples (which I must stay turned out delicious), he had so much fun. It was very late when we picked him up. So Thanks again Chris. I totally owe you big time, and Brett has been talking about Dani since he left.

Well as far as the game went it was CRAZY!!! The game had a blackout theme and it was pretty cool to see 45k in black. The game was a battle of the defenses. The Utes won!!!! 2 more games left and hopefully we will continue our tradition of going to another bowl game. WE have went to Tempe, Az, San Fransisco, CA, and San Diego, CA. I am hoping for a new destination this year! I love our road trips each year.

Mini Golf

10 more stickers for Brett. I am knocking on wood as I type this to say that the last day he got in "big" trouble was on Tuesday October 27 (smacked his teacher across the face)..... He has been so good since then. I was so worried when I picked him up yesterday it would be a bad report but nope once again he had a great entire week. so when he hit 10 stickers it was off to Fat Catz for minigolf. Then after we were done with his prize we stayed and went bowling and played video games for tickets.






Yes this is the real score and my name was crystal for some reason. Brett had a nice ramp and bumper pads but that doesnt make up for the fact that I SUCK at bowling. Brett finally fits into real bowling shoes.

Box

You Know I think I have decided that buying expensive presents just isnt as cool as a simple old box. There are so many things you can do with a box. We got a much needed gun safe today and the box that came with it is very fun for Brett. not sure how long it will last but worth every minute of fun. Brett is starting to get coordinated enough that having guns around the house got me paranoid so I am glad we got this. Merry Christmas to us. We decided we had better get it through the back yard into the basement before the snow comes. So although its early its a great family Christmas present. Thanks Luke for helping Justin get it in.

Trick or Treat

Here is Brett on Halloween. He had a fun time and went trick or treating where I did as a kid. His favorite part of halloween was handing out candy.





Brett and I spent the weekend down in Price while Justin was elk hunting ( he was successful but I dont have any photos, but it sounds like quiet the adventure). Anyway while we were there we went to the Dino Mine Adventure park. Brett had a fun trip.
