New House

Well we are in! The only casualty in the move was a bird house. Everything is put away except for a few pictures and justins new office. He is building the desk as I type. Anyway just a quick update to let everyone know we are in. I will put some pictures on later when I get a chance. Right now I am off to have my first official bath in the huge tub!

Justin and I babysat for Dani the other night. Dani and Brett had a fun time playing. She was a little unsure of him and his hyperactivity but they sure had a good time. Thanks Chris and Paul for letting us watch her. We had a great time.

Just a few more pictures. Brett playing in a box. That seems to be an every day thing right now. I am so sick of boxes its not even funny.... But we are at 4 days and counting down!!! I just hope I can make it until Friday.



I got Brett a candy necklace from Dollar Tree. He loved it. It provided entertainment for 2 days.

Boxes, Boxes and More Boxes

Sorry to say I don’t have any fun pictures to share this week. The sad part is we did some fun things this weekend but I did not catch any of it on camera.

I will just make this a short update. We are in the midst of packing and lets just say that I am sick and tired of boxes. I am not sure why they are having such an effect on me with this move but AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!! I think that time has decided to stand still and June 1st will never get here. Justin and Brett are both handling it better than I. Brett is clinging to things right now. He knows we are moving but he doesn’t know exactly what that means. I tell him his toys will go to the new house but anytime I take something from him that is not already packed he gets sort of upset. I just need to speed up time for the next 11 days. I think we are going to have to get out of the house a lot over memorial. While I am excited for the 3 day weekend it is almost impossible to pack while Brett is around. I am hoping I can trick him into helping me with the kitchen….. Other than that we just have 1 room ½ way left to go and 1 bathroom. Not to bad.

Life is moving in the fast lane for Justin. He is officially in contract for Weber next year and very excited (and nervous) about it. He is also working very hard to finish his dissertation over the summer. The move probably isn’t helping him much but after we move in and his new office is set up I think he is going to be happy with the changes as well.

Mothers Day

Happy Mothers Day to Everyone! My mothers day was great this year. It was the first mothers day that Brett actually said "Happy Mothers Day" he also was very fun and wanted tons of attention from mom. It was great. In addition I have a gift certificate now for a massage. I think I am going to wait and have it after we move and everything is put away. I am sure I will be in desperate need by that time. Thanks Justin and Brett for making it very special.

Below are pictures of Brett playing dress up. He found his backpack which contained his snow boots that we had at school in the winter. He put them on, his hat, and his gloves and played around the house. Its so fun as he gets older to see how his mind works. Some of the ideas he comes up with are so imaginative. I am also learning that he has already figured out how to manipulate me to get the things he wants.




We are busy packing as it is 19 more days until we move. I can not tell you how excited I am! Everything is currently set and in motion and I am just hoping time goes by fast between now and June 1st. Our apartment is starting to fill with boxes and I just can figure out how they will all fit in a moving truck. I have been having dreams at 4 am (weird but every day at the same time) where I am playing tetris with a moving truck and our furniture. Brett is doing okay with everything. Better than expected. He gets mad at me when my attention is away from him so I am trying to pack when he is asleep. He is excited to move to a "house with stairs". I dont think he understands it yet but he knows something is going on.

Justin B Jackson PhD, MBA

Justin walked in the University of Utah graduation ceremony on Friday! It was wonderful to see him walk. Congratulations Justin. Your hard work and dedication paid off! To make it even better Justin is finishing everything up this summer and starting work at Weber in the fall! So we are now Wildcat fans again. Go Cats! We both got our undergrads from there and Justin has his MBA from there so its not a far stretch. It was a really fun day and everyone was really proud of Justin. Justins parents and my parents came up and we went to Rodizio Grill which is always a treat. Thank you Steve, Deb, Aleck and Shirley for all your support along the way!

Chuck E Cheese

We took Brett to Chuck E Cheese on Sunday. He needed to get out of the house. All the boxes and everything seems to be stressing him out a little bit. Plus with it being cold outside we were all feeling cooped up. I think Brett had a blast. By the time we got back to the car he was sound asleep. He loved throwing balls and riding in cars. It was a big day for him.

Moving!!!!

We are moving to a house!!!! Whahoo! It even has a jetted tub. I am so excited. We are moving to Layton on June 1st! Everything is working out great. We just need to find a good day care.I was in tears telling his day care that we were moving. He is in such a good place right now. I hope we can find something close. So far I have not had luck with that. Anyway with that you should know that Justin is taking a job at Weber State to teach in their EET program next year and I will still be at Dollar Tree. Here are a few pictures of the new house. It will have a yard within the next month. It is just by Layton Hills Mall.
