Changes/Kindergarten Class Picture

Gosh it seems as if I just made this post about 10 months ago.... oh I did.... I am changing jobs again.  I really love the job I am in right now but I am dring 128 miles per day.  With traffic that equals about 2.5 hours of driving.  I have found a new job that will be closer 60 miles a day, so I will cut my driving time by about 1 hour per day. they also offer flexible schedules so I will be taking every other friday off.  I am sad to leave my current job because its been a great place to work, but I am aslo way excited for the new company.  It should be a great place to work, plus I will be wasting less time and gas on the road (I paid 3.65 per gallon this week and fill up about every day and 1/2).  So I should save time and money.  I will miss everyone at my current job but am ready for the new adventure to begin. 

Justin is also done for the summer with teaching. He is officially staying at home with Brett for the summer as of yesterday. Those two have so many plans to go rock hunting, fishing, playing, etc.  we are going to keep a spot in day care for Caleb so the boys can go play all summer.  I am so jealous!!! Brett has about 4 more weeks of kindergarten but is pretty excited to start staying home.  He will get to see all his old friends when they drop caleb off and he will spent a few days there throughout the summer .

Brett's 6th Birthday Party

Brett chose to have his party this year at Chuck E Cheeses.  He has wanted it there since he saw a commercial for the Ticket Blaster birthday kids get to try.  Brett had many friends there- Jace, Aleck, Dani, Daxton, Seth, Samuel, and Isabella.  The kids had a riot.  The adults all left very tired!!!  Brett got 740   thanks to the ticket blaster and Seth who kept winning him tickets. We also had the worlds coolest cake.  One of the waitresses even came and took a picture of it. (it better be cool for 40.00) and of course Brett did not even eat a bite of his cake.

Justin had to go to South Dakota for a conference.  He got to see Crazy Horse and Mt Rushmore

Brett got an electric E-spark scooter for his 6th Birthday (its on April 21st). We were going to wait to give it to him until Sunday but on Thursday when we got home from work he ran to the porch to see if his new shoes had arrived and low and behold a scooter box was sitting there.  He rode ALL day Saturday. 

Caleb spent the day outside watching brother.  The problem with Caleb is that he is obsessed with going into the road.  I bring him back on the grass and then he runs straight back to the road.  He loves being outside.

Brett's soccer team.  Brett had a great game Saturday. He played nicely with the other players and he scored 4 goals.  Every time he scored he did a cute little move! He also cheered for his teammates.  Caleb is a challenge at soccer games.  Justin ended up getting delayed in South Dakota because the plane had hit a bird so I had to take Brett and Caleb to soccer alone again.  Caleb is very very hard to take care of at soccer because he really just wants to play in the game.  This time he was confined to the stroller the whole game.  Poor kid did not like it but at least I didnt leave completely and utterly exhausted!

Helicopter/Coloring

Justin went to the gun show today in Salt Lake, I just knew he would come home with a new gun.  I was surprised to see he did make a purchase but instead of a gun he got an indoor helicopter.  (and some ammo).  Brett was pretty jealous as justin kept calling it his.  Brett had asked for one for Christmas but didnt get one.  Needless to say Justin and Brett had a blast flying it.  It crashed a few times as you will see in the video but its still working.  They played so much the batteries died twice.

Caleb is such a fun baby.  He gets so mad when he doesnt get his way, mean when he is hungry, and falls allot when he is tired but most of all Caleb just loves to tease us and he loves it when Brett entertains him.  Anyway a quiet moment today was when he was coloring. he didnt get much on the paper but he sure liked the taste and I liked the look on his face in the second picture.

Thanks Grandpa!!!!

Brett and Christa want to say a great big thanks to Grandpa.  He handmade both of us new fly fishing rods.  Brett wasnt really acting very excited while grandpa was there, but as soon as grandpa left he made up a few songs about his new pole. Brett cant wait to try it out on a lake.  Steve handmade each of our rods.  He used purple and green on mine, and grey and red on Bretts. We all got our favorite colors.  Also in each of the poles he put a feather.  It was freezing cold today but Brett got to go outside and cast for a minute. He caught the best fish of all (grandpa).

Something else I learned today was that grandpa has realized that I am a bad luck charm!  We have had so many adventures since I have been part of their family- many of them include broken down cars, flat tires, fish hooks in my head, tipping over in the Green, and freezing cold.  now that all sounds bad but we have a million great memories as well.  So my new rod has a great story behind it.  Steve is the only one who can tell it but my new rod has already been ran over by a car.  To hear of the rest of the story you will have to ask Steve.

We spent Saturday putting wood chips in our yard.  I love the effect it has.  It makes it look finished.  I have a few flowers ordered as well as some wild flower seeds. Once that is here the front yard will be complete.  

Caleb was given his first balloon today at Harmons. I wish I would have taken a video. He laughed and laughed and laughed each time he banged himself in the head.
